Recknagel / ERA 34mm Rings for Mauser M98 Magnum - R-93418-262U. All steel rings for use on the new Mauser M98 Magnum Rifles only featuring the inletted front pivot base and integral 15mm wide rear dovetail base. (Not for use on the RIGBY "Big Game" Rifle) Front ring height is 13,5mm / .531" with 26mm front extension. Will require gunsmithing to fit the front ring to the base to adjust the pivot tension.
THESE RINGS WILL NOT WORK WITH THE SWAROVSKI 8i 1-8X24 WITH 34MM TUBE AS THE OCULAR IS TOO LARGE.
May require gunsmithing to fit the front ring to the pivot base until the proper pivot tension is achieved. The top surface of the front pivot base may need to be stoned carefully until the front ring pivots without heavy resistance. Tape the top corner surfaces of the square bridge to protect against accidental contact. Using a fine Arkansas stone, cross-hatch stoning movements will help keep the surface even. Stone lightly, clean the surface, add light lubrication and try front ring pivot motion. Repeat until scope pivots smoothly.
