NECG RUGER 3/32" Green Fiber Optic Sight R-155

Price: $49.00

RUGER 3/32" Green Fiber Optic Sight DISCONTINUED - AVAILABLE ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST This Green Fiber Optic sight will be discontinued due to production issues and low sales volume. Supplies are limited and will not be back ordered.  Designed to replace the standard beads on the M-77 and #1 Ruger rifles, allowing for higher visibility and faster target acquisition. Please note: RUGER makes two different front ramps, one with a short dovetail and one with a bead lock plunger towards the muzzle. Our Ruger Front Sights will work in both ramps. Remove the tab on dovetail to fit the short ramp. Remove the screw for the plunger to secure the sight when the plunger is on the bead end of the dovetail. Beads measure 3/32" / 2.5mm diameter and come in five different heights. Select height when ordering. Overall height measured from bottom of dovetail to top of bead. Blued steel sight with Tru-Glo Fiber Optic insert. NOTE: DUE TO RUGERS MANUFACTURING TOLERANCES THIS BEAD WILL REQUIRE FITTING. PLEASE FOLLOW THE PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS BELOW OR THE LINK FOR "FRONT SIGHT INSERT FITTING INSTRUCTIONS".

SIGHT HEIGHT CORRECTION: If you need to correct the point of impact, by changing the front sight, we need to know the following:

1) Distance from the front sight to the rear sight, in inches.

2) The amount of correction needed, in inches @ 25, 50, or 100 yds.

3) The overall height of the existing front sight insert, top to bottom, in thousands of inch.

This information can be emailed to us at info@necgltd.com for calculation and sight height correction suggestions.

RUGER Sight Inserts: Ruger makes two different front sight dovetails. One has the bead lock plunger at the face of the bead and the other one is at the muzzle end of the insert. They are also two different dovetail lengths. Our NECG RUGER Beads are designed to work in both dovetails. When the plunger is at the face of the bead, unscrew the set screw and fit the sight insert until the plunger engages the hole. On the version with the plunger at the muzzle, when the sight insert is completely in the dovetail, tighten the set screw to lock the sight in place. You will see that our beads have a notch on the muzzle end of the dovetail. This notch corresponds with the length of the short Ruger dovetail. Simply trim the sight insert to this notch for the bead to fit the short dovetail length. The end of the insert can be cold blued. Fitting RUGER Sight Inserts: Use a sheet of 220-320 grit sandpaper on a clean, flat surface. Set the sight down onto the sandpaper. Push the sight back and forth several times, being careful to keep the sight flat on the sandpaper. From time to time try the insert in the dovetail. Repeat as required until the insert slides completely into the dovetail. Tip: From time to time tilt the insert @ 45 degrees to the left and to the right to break the edge of the inserts dovetail. Breaking these edges may be all that is required to fit the insert. For the final fitting of the sight insert we suggest some gun grease or oil on the bottom of the sight insert.
